EEFF 4.0 supports migration from EEM 5.2 or later. Any user willing to migrate from previous
version of EEM should first upgrade to v5.2, then migrate to EEFF 4.0.
Before you begin
Ensure that EEM 5.2.x or later is installed on the system from which you want to export the
keys.
Ensure that the version of SbAdmDll.dll is 5.2.4.2.
Task
1 On the command prompt, navigate to the folder where SbAdmDll.dll is saved (default
location is Program Files | McAfee | Endpoint Encryption Manager).
2 Run the following command:
SbAdmCl -AdminUser:JohnSmith -AdminPwd:123456 -Database:MyDatabase
-Command:ExportFFKeys -Group:MyKeys -File:MyExportedKeys.xml -Password:thepassword

Password for Endpoint Encryption Manager administrator logonAdminPwd:123456
Endpoint Encryption Manager database server name
NOTE: This field is optional and can be included only if you want
to export keys from an external database.
Database:MyDatabase
Key group name in Endpoint Encryption Manager
NOTE: This field is optional. If no key group is specified all the
key groups in Endpoint Encryption Manager will be exported.
Group:MyKeys
Name of the file to which key group should exported. By default
the exported file is saved in Program Files | McAfee |
File:MyExportedKeys.xml
Endpoint Encryption Manager. You can change the path of
the file, if required. For example: C:\ MyKeys.xml
NOTE: The keys will not be exported if the file name is not
specified. The command line does not display an error if the file
name is not specified in the command.
Password to protect the exported file.
NOTE: This field is optional.
Password:thepassword
NOTE: Administrator should have access to keys that needs to be exported.
The exported file (in xml format) is saved in the default or specified location.
Importing keys
Use this task to import the encryption keys from EEM 5.2 (or later) database into ePO server.
Task
For option definitions, click ? in the interface.
1 Copy the exported xml file to a temporary folder.
2 Logon to ePolicy Orchestrator as an administrator.
