About This Guide
This guide is designed to aid users when using the Endpoint Encryption for Files and
Folders client. There is a minimum of user interaction and user involvement with
Endpoint Encryption for Files and Folders.
Still, as it is possible to policy control the degree of user involvement, users may be
allowed to make certain decisions related to the encrypted environment. Thus, this
guide assists the user in whatever user operation has been allowed/enabled. All
possible client side user operations are described, though only a subset of these may
have been made available to the user through the policy.
This guide is not a guide to the central management of Endpoint Encryption for Files
and Folders. Nor is it a guide to any other Endpoint Encryption clients. For relevant
documentation pertaining to other products or aspects of Endpoint Encryption, please
consult your McAfee representative.
Audience
This guide was designed to be used by users of the Endpoint Encryption for Files and
Folders client. No particular pre-requisites apply.
